Board of Directors
The Board of Directors are volunteers elected by Chamber members (or "investors") to direct the affairs of the Chamber, including making policy.  The Board of Directors is responsible for leading Chamber initiatives throughout the year and establishing an annual Plan of Work at the yearly planning session.  The Board of Directors also oversees the operations of the Chamber President, who reports directly to the Chairman of the Board.

    Divisional Teams
There are many opportunities for involvement in the Chamber, and new ideas and fresh energy are always welcome.  The heart of the Chamber is its members, or “investors,” who work in small groups, committees, or task forces to achieve the Chamber’s objectives, called its “Program of Work.”

Of five major Divisions, each is charged with the responsibility of carrying out a well-balanced program in its specialized area of interest. These Divisions are Business, Community Issues, Economic Development, Membership and Special Events. Each division is led by a Division Team Leader - usually someone who is currently serving on the Chamber Board of Directors. The 2010 Division Team Leaders are as follows:

    • Business Division - Roy Waldrep, Chocolate Bayou Community Federal Credit Union
    • Community Issues Division – John Barron, State Farm Insurance
    • Economic Development Division – Richard “Jay” Hawkins, Hawkins Lease Services
    • Membership Division - Angela Leger, Ameriprise Financial Services
    • Special Events Division - Joan Young, engraving, etc. by joan
    Chamber Staff
The Chamber staff, including the President, is responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of the Chamber.  The staff members are often the first contact a visitor or investor has with the Chamber and, sometimes, serve as the first point-of-contact for individuals interested in the community itself.
